What is the Cost of AHIP?

It costs $125 when you use the designated AHIP Medicare Training link for HCSC (BCBS).

Can AHIP Be Used for Compliance Credit?

Yes. Agents have the option to request filing of applicable state CE credits for completing the AHIP portion of the certification process. Applicable fees must be paid at the individual producer level by credit card.

  • Illinois – Approved 6 CE hours – $23
  • New Mexico – Approved 6 CE hours – $20
  • Oklahoma – Approved 5 CE hours – $26
  • Pending States – Montana ($23) and Texas ($26)

Does Carrier Reimburse for AHIP?

No. They offer a discounted rate of $125, rather than the standard rate of $175, when you use the designated AHIP Medicare Training link for HCSC (BCBS).

How to Order Supplies with BlueCross BlueShield-HCSC

The Supply Portal is easy to use! You can access it directly at yourcmsupplyportal.com or via Blue Access for Producers. Please review and refer to the Supply Portal Training Manual if you need assistance.

  • Your username is your 9-digit HCSC producer ID.
  • Upon profile activation, a unique password will be emailed to the address on file.
  • Site is available 24–48 hours after completion of certification.

After logging in, agents should see the states available to access on the left. Check a state to view the supplies available for it. Links for various supplies will be displayed towards the bottom of the page under the announcements section titled “CATEGORIES.”

Upon clicking on any of these links, agents can view example pieces and find out how to order each supply item. The information displayed will also let agents know whether the item is downloadable as a PDF or if they can have the item shipped to their address.

When selecting an item, add the quantity desired. Once an item is added, agents will be taken directly to their shopping where they can choose to continue shopping or select “Finished Shopping” to check out.

New Pre-Enrollment Kits:

The MAPD and PDP Pre-Enrollment Kits have been updated for 2015. They now offer a plan comparison chart that serves as a “streamlined” decision-making tool. They feature benefits that will be of greatest interest to your prospects. They also make great leave-behind pieces.

  • A monthly quantity limit of 25 per product per month has been established to maximize the availability of materials through the AEP.
  • The quantity limit for brochures is 10 per product per month. If you are hosting a sales event and expecting a large turnout, you can request an exception by emailing Producer_Marketing_Material_Exceptions@bcbsil.com.

Reminders:

  • BCBS will not ship to a P.O. Box address.
  • You must use CMS-approved materials. Creating your own materials puts you out of compliance and is not a risk worth taking. Please only use the materials provided for you on the portal. Remember, materials can take up to 5–7 days to arrive from date the order is placed.
