Navigation to Certification Portal and Training Courses:

New Agents:

  1. Click on the link in your email.
  2. Confirm your personal information and create a password.
  3. Log-in and review the important documents on the right side of the screen, especially the “Quick Reference Guide.”
  4. Start your 2016 certification courses.

Returning Agents:

  1. Go to https://thehealthplan.litmos.com.
  2. Enter your username and password, and click “Login.”
  3. Start your 2016 certification courses, which are listed on the home page.

Submitting Business

Important Information:

  • In addition to the enrollment form, Geisinger requires a copy of the Sales Appointment Confirmation Form. If you do not complete and submit this form along with the enrollment form, the application will be marked incomplete and your commission will not be paid. You should keep the original of this form in your client’s file for 10 years.
  • All apps must be completed with the broker signature and corresponding broker ID. If the broker ID number is not present, it can delay processing.
  • Enrollment forms should be IMMEDIATELY faxed (preferred) or mailed.
    • Faxed applications must be complete (all required pages must be present) when faxed. MSA apps must have the signature form for Mellon complete to get the account established. Applications that are incomplete or are illegible due to the poor quality of the fax from the sender’s machine may be pended due to volume.
    • When an application is faxed and then mailed, please make sure to clearly note on the mailed application that the application was previously faxed and the date it was faxed.

How to Submit Business with Geisinger Health Plan:

Paper Applications

  • Fax your enrollment application and Sales Appointment Confirmation Form to 570-271-5970.
    • If this fax does not work, please use the alternate fax number: 570-214-1552.
    • Please remember applications must be submitted within 24 HOURS.
  • Mail your enrollment application and Sales Appointment Confirmation Form directly to Geisinger in the envelope provided in the enrollment kit.

  • Note: Please make sure that your agent number, name, and signature appear on the ORIGINAL COPY. Since the application is a triple carbon-less copy, this information will not come through if you print this information on the last copy (it is only carbon-less one way). You no longer need to mail the Original Enrollment Form.

Telephone Enrollments

  1. With your client on the line, initiate a three-way conference call between yourself, your client, and Geisinger Gold at 1-800-631-1656.
  2. When a Geisinger Gold telemarketer answers, announce your name to the call center representative and state that you are a broker representing [client name], who is also on the line.
  3. The Geisinger Gold call center representative will ask for your Broker ID number (i.e. B number), which will be stored in the Geisinger system for commission payment purposes.
  4. The call center representative will then conduct the enrollment as they would any other telephonic election. You should remain on the line for the duration of the call.

Online Enrollments

  1. Visit the Geisinger enrollment page at www.thehealthplan.com.
  2. Select a county
  3. Select a plan.
  4. Answer the eligibility questions.
  5. Under “I am completing this form,” choose “As an Agent or a Broker.”
  6. Enter your credentials: your name, telephone number, address, and Agent/Broker ID number.
  7. Complete the “Enrollment Event” page.
  8. Fill out the beneficiary’s information.
  9. Complete the “Long Term Care” page.
  10. Complete the “Employer Information” page.
  11. Confirm the application.

Commissions

Important Information:

Brokers MUST be certified and product trained annually to receive commissions on new sales AND renewals.

Ritter Insurance Marketing has adopted a “pay as paid” method on our commission payments. Therefore, when we get paid from Geisinger on your cases, we will pay you. Ritter pays once a month and you can view your commission statements on our website. If you have any additional commission questions, please contact our office at 800-769-1847.

How to Order Supplies for Geisinger Health Plan:

Agents can order supplies with Geisinger Health Plan online through the broker portal. For more details, read the instructions below.

  1. Go to www.thehealthplan.com
  2. Log in with your username and password
  3. Click on Geisinger Gold Agents (Medicare)
  4. Click on Marketing and Sales Materials
  5. Click the “Geisinger Gold Ordering Portal” link below to enter the portal.
  6. Select “Products” to get started. Then, seelct “On Demand Sales Collateral.”
  7. Select the item you wish to order and the quantity.
  8. Click “Add to Cart” or “Add to Cart and Checkout.”
  9. Confirm your items and enter delivery information in the shopping
    cart.

After placing an order, you can click on “Orders” to view your order history. Select “Admin” to view or update your profile information, delivery information, and other account details.

Note: Most sales collateral items are available at no cost to you. Future offerings, such as custom postcards or letters, may carry a cost to the agent.
