Certification Instructions for the Following Products:

Is AHIP Required?

No. If you do not complete AHIP training, you can complete Gorman training or certify for free with SilverScript by completing all of the certification courses they offer and require.

Can AHIP Be Used for Compliance Credit?

Yes, it is accepted as credit for the following courses:

  • 2017 Medicare Overview for Contracted Agents
  • 2017 Compliance Course for Contracted Agents
  • CMS Required Compliance and FWA Training

Note: 2017 Gorman certification is also accepted in lieu of AHIP.

How Can AHIP/Gorman Certificate Be Submitted for Compliance Credit?

What is Cost of AHIP?

The cost for this certification is $175. There is no discount for AHIP through SilverScript.

Will Certifying for 2017 Allow Agents to Sell 2016 Products?

No, however if a new agent takes the 2017 AHIP, SilverScript will credit the courses for both 2016 and 2017. If the new agent would like to sell 2016 products for the remainder of the year, they would just need to complete the 2016 SilverScript Product and Processes Course for Agents and the 2016 Certification for Agents (in addition to those same courses for the 2017 plan year.)

Are Additional Steps Required for Those Certifying for the First Time Versus Those Who Are Recertifying?

How Do Agents Retrieve Their Username and Password?

Your Login ID will be your Agent ID. If you don’t know your Agent ID, please contact Ritter.

For help with password retrieval on the login page, click the “Forgot your Password?” link, enter your user name, and click “Send Email.”

Who Do Agents Contact to Confirm Certification?

By logging into the SilverScript Agent Portal, on the home page you will see green or red lights for “Good Standing” details: Training, State License, Appointment, Background Check. If all lights are green, you are ready to sell. If any lights are red, that step still needs to be completed.

No. However, it is accepted as credit for the following modules:

Yes. Your completed certificate should be emailed toProducerSalesResource@CareMark.com with the subject line: AHIP/Gorman Training Certificate and your Agent ID. It can also be faxed to 1-866-208-5262.

No. However, if they choose, agents are able to complete the 2015 certification by using the toggle to enter the 2015 portal. 2016 AHIP is accepted towards your 2015 certification.

Submitting Business

How to Submit Business with SilverScript:

Agents must enter the enrollment application directly into the Enrollment Portal within 24 hours of receiving the completed application. View SilverScript’s Agent Guide to Entering Your Enrollment Applications Online before submitting any business. This will ensure all enrollments are submitted correctly and prevent submission errors and commission issues.

After entering the application into the portal all pages of the signed, completed application and the Scope of Appointment should be sent to SilverScript Insurance Company within 24 hours. Agents may send in this documentation using one of the following methods:

  • Scan and upload the documents via the Enrollment Portal secure mailroom
  • Email the documents to enrollmentverification@caremark.com
  • Mail the documents to:

      P.O. Box 52134
      Phoenix, AZ 85072

Please note that you must put the same Agent ID that you used to log in to the Enrollment Portal on the paper enrollment form.

How to Order Supplies for Aetna:

Information Regarding Initial Supply of Enrollment Kits:

Silverscript automatically places an initial order of 25 enrollment kits for agents upon completion of the annual certification curriculum. Initial 2015 supplies will ship in mid-September.

  • Please scroll down to the bottom of that page to confirm your shipping address (keep in mind that Silverscript doesn’t deliver to P.O. Boxes). You are even able to increase your initial quantity of enrollment kits! Quantities must be in multiples of 10.
  • The “Initial Supply” functionality is only displayed to agents associated with organizations that distribute SilverScript PDP enrollment kits.

How to Order Supplies with SilverScript:

Agents can instantly access downloadable PDF versions of enrollment materials on the SilverScript website. To view the PDFs, click on the “CLICK HERE” link to access the “Supply Room” link. Then, follow the instructions on the page. Please remember that agents must give all pages of the Enrollment Kit to all clients who sign an enrollment form.

To order additional enrollment kits, which come in multiples of 10, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to www.Silverscriptagentportal.com.
  2. Send a message to SilverScript via their Enrollment Portal’s Silver Mail system. A link to system is found in the top-left corner of the page.
  3. Make sure to provide SilverScript with the following information:
    • Your name
    • Your shipping address
    • Your phone number
    • Requested quantity

SilverScript ships kits via UPS ground service. Please note that SilverScript does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
